Subj: [kl] School teachers - Pull out lessons?

Greetings!

Rhetorical question:
Why is it that everytime a music program is doing well, some of us are
congratulated by having cuts (aid, funding, and the folowing) done to
it?

So..

How many of you have pull out lessons in your school?
Pull out lessons is where you schedule a student to come to lessons out
of his/her regular scheduled class once a week for about 25-30 minutes.
I am aware that some schools rotate their lesson schedules by half
hours, and others have the students miss the same class every week for
the school year. What do you do?

My middle school here in Brookfield Wisconsin is considering the removal
of our pull out lesson program, so any information is greatly
appreciated.

If you have a lesson pull out program,
how long has it been in place?
How is it setup? As described above (half hour lessons) or ??
How do you group the students - or do you?

If you argued to keep this program alive and won, please share your
efforts on how you accomplished this..

If your lesson pull out program WAS discontinued, how is your music
program doing?
Were any other changes done to your music department as a result of
removing the pull out program?

I'm sure that I am forgetting a few questions, but if you can take a
moment and send me as much info as you can I would greatly appreciate
it.

Please note:
I will probably print out the information that you send.
Please include your name, and the school that you teach at.

Thanks in advance.

Ben Leon
