When I was in college the Wind Ensemble went on tour visiting high
schools through out the state. At one school, near the end of the
tour, we played our usual program. Then we found out that we were
going to play a piece combined with the students and it was March to
the Scaffold. We were able to get through the piece but everyone was
extremely tired at that point from the tour, and to have to sight
read a hefty piece, oh the agony on the lips.
