No it doesn't: a forked fingering is one that has an open hole above the
final closed one. The RH first finger hole remains open in this case,
even though it's smaller. Unforking the fingering would require it to
be closed.

Yes, a tiny one on the long suspended rod (which tended to twist). Too
many players had bits of paper and gunk for temporary improvements.
