I was a high school sophmore....more years ago than I care to admit...just
before a concert, one of the freshmen said: " !!!... My pad just fell off my
clarinet!" I stuck it back on with chewing gum, told her to take the
instrument into the shop first thing Monday, and I hoped the repair would
last the evening. Fast forward 3 years...just before a concert... yup.
Same player, same exclaimation. Same pad. Still had gum on it. Burch
