Jim,
I'm glad you are helped by the information. I'd like to be very specific
if any one has any confusion about this matter. Here goes:

tuning:
Low Register:
small bore: in tune chalumeau right hand (after undercutting)
large bore: sharp chalumeau right hand depending upon the bore size
Middle:
small bore and large bore have rather compatible clarion registers

High:
Small bore: intune to low on the infamous high "F" and "F#"
Large bore: sharper high tones

You can see the small and large bores are not compatible in tuning in low
and high registers. This can cause real problems when the clarinets are
mixed in a section.
Plus, the large bore clarinet is hardly in tune with itself, since its'
right hand low tones are not only high to the clarion of the small bore
clarinet, but high in relation to its' own clarion pitches.
