To get a little better idea of mouthpieces in general, and what each part
of the mouthpiece contributes to the things you hear and feel when you play
you may want to check out the articles "Understanding Clarinet Mouthpiece
Interiors" and "Understanding mouthpiece facings".
If you digest this information well it will help you choose the right style
of mouthpiece for your particular needs.
