When I was play1ng in the band for my college graduation, we seniors
were asked what processionals we'd like to play (to be interspersed with
the monotonous mainstay "Pomp and Circumstances".) I jokingly suggested
"The March to the Scaffold" from Symphonie Fantastique. If I'd known
there really was a band arrangement, I would have pushed harder!
(In retrospect, I REALLY wish we'd played "Pink Elephants on Parade"
from "Dumbo!"!)
