I very recently bought a B45 and a Hite D. I thought I'd give them both a
trial run. They're both very nice MP's. The B45 perhaps is the more
"orchestral" and the Hite D the more "chamber". Hite makes three more
MP's. The D is intended to be "chamber". God only knows how many other
MP's Vandoren makes!

After a couple weeks of comparison I settled on the Hite D. It has a
smooth, warm sound with no intonation quirks. It's plenty "orchestral"
enough for the little orchestras I play in.

Hite's site is: www.jdhite.com
Vandoren's site is: www.vandoren.com
