Some wood is naturally black, some is dyed black and occasionally someone
still makes a wooden clarinet that's not black. I was curious about
Grenadilla, too (note spelling), so I did some preliminary research. It's not
nearly the last word on the subject, but FWIW, it's available on sneezy.org:
