Grendadilla is naturally brown. My daughter recently tried the latest
Buffet Bass clarinet, which is made of unstained wood. When she opened the
case she immediately exclaimed: "Oh! It's brown, not black!"

I have a question that may sound stupid, but is the Grendadilla Wood or
whatever other kindds of wood that the clarinet is made out of naturally
black
or is there artificial coloring used on the wood to make it have the black
color. I have been curious about that for a long time.
