Please don't misunderstand the no-cut policy. It doesn't mean you can't
get rid of people who are already in the program, just that you must find
a place for those who want to be there from the get go - there can be no
auditions, no tryouts etc for the purpose of cutting down the size of the
team/group, eliminating the poorer players etc. Students ARE opted out
for grades, disciplinary problems, insubordination etc.

Besides, the original judge died a few years ago. However, the ACLU is
making sure we discipline as many whites as blacks (ratios) and are
looking for the same racial ratios in the band and other groups as in the
school. We do lose certain ethnicities when they find out they have to
march in the rain... (this is only half a joke)
I hope I haven't offended anyone with any of my remarks and sincerely
apologize if I have.
