The piece may have been around for a while, but I hadn't seen it before, and
laughed. Sad to say, similar verbal bloopers (some of which are also
hilarious when not considered in the context of how bad the schools are) come
from junior high/middle school and high school, and even college and grad
school. Truly! About 25 years ago, I helped a boyfriend proofread doctoral
dissertations in the School of Education for an accredited university. Some
of them would never have made it past my high school 10th grade English
teacher!

Now I work with some college graduates with English degrees who cannot write a
complete sentence.
