Subj: [kl] Jazz bass recordings to begin with

I'm sorry for the delay, but I'm dealing with my cracked bass. It
hurts so..........In any case, the most inspirational jazz bass clariphone
recordings I own are (in order of most important to relatively least):

Eric Dolphy - Far Cry with Booker Little - New Jazz (NJ-8270)
pay attention to Serene, It's Magic, and Mrs. Parker of K.C.
Eric Dolphy - Outward Bound - New Jazz (NJ-8236)
pay close attention to Green Dolphin Street
Eric Dolphy - Eric Dolphy in Europe, Vol. 1 - Prestige (P-7304)
must hear GOD BLESS THE CHILD and OLEO
Eric Dolphy - Iron Man - Metrotone (7 72659-2)
Come Sunday
Eric Dolphy - Vintage Dolphy - GM (GM3005CD)
It's all good!
Don Byron - Bug Music - Nonesuch (79438-2)
Interesting interpretation of classic jazz literature
Don Byron - Nu Blaxploitation - Blue Note (CDP 7243 4 93711 2 5)
A bit politically motivated, but instrumentals are superb

That's all for now.
