About 12 years ago when I was ready to purchase a top level flute, I was
very confused as to whether Haynes or Powell was the best. I went up to
the pit at the New York State Theater during an intermission and asked the
flute section that very question. The response was- "It depends on the
FLUTE." I wound up buying a Muramatsu! Buy the horn, not the name.
