I'm not particularly interested in rejoining what has become a territorial
and prideful commentary on all sides. My original posts were simply made
to ask questions, which I felt were satisfatorilly answered - even if I do
not agree with all the information presented. However, the problem with
email, as Kevin Fay has pointed out on numerous occassions is that
communication often becomes fuzzy and unspecific. I find the above
reponse to be one of those. We have been watching the discussion of Opus
vs. other clarinets by several people, and we have been watching and
learning Tom's position regarding clarinets in general and their
accoustical, physical, etc. properties and impact upon the clarinet world
in general. Given all that, for those who have not followed all of this,
it is my assumption, a correct one hopefully, that Tom was not stating,
implying, or suggesting in any way that the R-13 is a poor clarinet? He
has not said so - but his message is in response to a response to a post
that discussed clarinets - primarily the Opus and the Buffet R-13.

Tom - please clarify if I am correct or incorrect in my assumption?

Thanks.
