Actually I already own the reduction. The thing is for someone to perform
the piano reduction the big problem is that many times Francaix used 3
staves. As a result something a part from a normal performance must take
place. Now by normal, I mean that 1 solo clarinetist with 2 hands on the
instrument, and one pianist with 2 hands (page turner preferred).

For the Francaix reduction to work something likely has to be changed.
--Possibly the pianist could grow a third arm/hand, which would cover the
3rd staff as it appears. (Highly unlikely, even with science the way it
is). Also expensive for treatments. . .
--The page turner, who is likely a pianist, could grab the lowest staff
notes. This would also mean that you would have to have 2 pianists
present at any rehearsals. (Likely expensive to be paying for 2
pianists).
--Reduce the published reduction. Maybe one of those 3 staves isn't
overly important? So leave it out.

Going with the last one, that would imply that a decision has to be made
to the importance of lines, thematically. So, has anyone here performed
it with changes, or know of someone whom I can speak with about reducing
the published reduction?

I know it can be done and has been done. I heard the pianist at Dos
Hermanas, Spain play it this past October for Tindarao Capuano (an AWESOME
player, IMHO). No 3rd arm on the pianist. Also, didn't Sean Osborne play
it in Columbus this summer at the Convention? Does anyone know what he
and his pianist did to perform it?
