I am not familiar with Louis' most recent efforts. He is one of the
nicest men I know and I admire his dedication to constantly improving his
instruments and the way he objectively hears, thinks and understands; it is
the perfect attitude for doing this sort of work.
I know some friends who play his new French bore clarinet and say they
really love them. I would love to see a model myself, but I am pretty
isolated here in Texas in Buffet land.
I would love to hear from Louis himself what his intentions were in the new
French bore and what he was trying to offer clarinetists if he would be
kind enough to share with us.
He has shown to all of us what an individual can do if he has both heart
and talent.
