It is obvious from this post that Vicki does not have either (a) a dog or
cat with access to the same room or (b) a two-year-old (a/k/a an "instrument
destruction unit").

I don't let my son touch the CASE. This from experience--he can open them.
He likes to bang stuff. Like my mouthpiece. On the slate floor.

Fortunately, it was a cheap alto sax mouthpiece that I am not fond of. I
wouldn't have killed him if it was my new Greg Smith (please insert
excessive kudos here in Greg's direction); but it would be a long, long.
long time before he ever got his sorry little butt to Disneyland!
