Hi there, One of my former A clarinets had this type of spring on it. Hans
Moenig put it on. He also took off the spring that was the needle spring that
was there. I had steve Fowler put one of those springs one one of the
clarinets I;ve had since. I remember him, not enjoying the experience, I can
be a pain in the butt for repair guys. My new set of horns seem better in this
respect and seem to work better without this "fix" Tom Puwalski
