Kristen,
I've attended the following schools that are all good choices (from my
experience)
Eastman School of Music (Rochester, NY)-If you minorer, you can do your
other degree at University of Rochester which is an excellent school
New England Conservatory (Boston)-If you minored in music, you can do your
academic work at Northeastern College or Tufts Univeristy
Michigan State (E. Lansing, MI)
Florida State (Tallahassee, FL)-If you are going to minor, this is probably
your best bet. Unlike the other 3 schools, the students seem to be more
down to earth and encouraging of each other. It is also cheaper! The main
professor, Dr. Kowalsky, is the nicest guy around and you'd really like him
as a teacher.
Good luck! Try visiting some of these schools since you have so much time
before you graduate. This will help you eliminate some! I eliminated
Oberlin this way ! :) Dannene
