"Brannenized New Clarinets
Clarinets undergo many changes between the fac-tory
and the player. Steps are taken to re-adjust
key fitting and spring tension to make comfortable
key action possible. Key heights and openings are
properly set. Clearance at tenons is created for
easy assembly and help in crack prevention.
Pads are changed to get the best seal possible.
Cork pads are applied to the upper joint for longev-ity
and clarity of each note. The Brannens hand-make
all skin pads. These pads are not available
anywhere else. These pads can last ten years with
proper care and will not buzz or vibrate. They use
modern materials such as teflon in areas of the
mechanism where cork bumpers will not stand up.
These are one-time applications which do not have
to be replaced.
After all of the above modifications have been
made, final assembly is completed. During this
process, they apply their unique acoustical balanc-ing
which produces an improved response, even-ness,
and resonance throughout the entire range
of the clarinet.

utilizing the skill and experience of over 55 years
combined service to the finest clarinetists in the
