Hi Sue,
I use the warm up by Bob Spring (with addition of chromatic scale and chrom.in
triplets after Baermann). It's great.
That may make sense but what I also do may be more voodoo than sense: I trim my
nails. Of course there are other things - grease my ligature screw, check ten
times if I have everything before I leave and, well, practise enough. And I hope
to get a little nervous *before* the concert starts. Because if it doesn't hit you
until you're on the stage, it hits harder.
