My best Jewish friend doesn't mind playing Christmas songs either...especially
when we are being paid to play holiday gigs. In fact, she often reminds me (a
Roman Catholic) that "Jesus was a nice Jewish boy."

On the flip side, I play Jewish music with her for Jewish engagement parties,
weddings, and during Passover. (Jewish music is wonderful and I would
encourage other Christians to try it. It really is beautiful.)

Also, while neither my friend nor I is Italian, we played the theme from the
Godfather THREE TIMES at an upscale party this past summer. The host, a man of
Italian descent, kept requesting encores of the song and it offended me not in
the least to please him and his guests.

Funiculi funicula!
