The Christensen Family posted an epistle that left me salivating like one of
Pavlov's dogs. Am I the only one that had this reaction?

Snips:

<<<<We had lunch in an Irish pub by the train station with several people
from Buffet.>>>>

I now understand the success of the Buffet company all these years. As with
all other major steps in the march of civilization, the Irish are at fault!
I know that a couple of pints of Guinness are certainly a civilizing
influence on me--I had no idea that we could chalk up clarinet manufacturing
success to it as well.

<<<<[A Buffet guy] said that the company would be introducing student line
Eb and C clarinets at the Frankfurt Trade Fair in March.>>>>

Now THIS is news! Francois--please tell me when I can get a student line C.
Preferably plastic. My uses for a C are quite infrequent; the odd Mahler
part in the orchestra, and (more often) those evil Strauss waltz
fundraisers. I wish I could afford an artist-level C--or even a Noblet,
which is about $1,200 discount--but my wife would kill me. If I could get
something that plays as well as a B-12 for a few hundred bucks, I would be
one very happy camper.

My checkbook is open!
