Subj: [kl] clarinet choir in concert bands and contra bas clarinet mouthpieces
Date: Fri, 15 Jan 1999 19:35:09 -0500

hello,

My name is Johan Boonekamp. I'm a professional clarinet player in the
Marine Band of the Royal Dutch Navy.

I'm also conductor of several community bands in the Netherlands. For my
conductors degree at the University of Tilburg I need some information for
essays I'm writing. Maybe somebody can help me with information.

Questions:

- Al info about the Clarinet Choir in the Modern Concert Band, articels,
scores, whatever.

- Conducters who are conducting concert bands with an ballanced clarinet
choir in her or his band.

- Information about the Warmelin Clarinet Ensemble , Chicago (1933-1938),
their repertoire and composers who wrote for this ensemble.

- Information about the lectures Alfred Reed and Don McCathern gave for the
LeBlanc cooporation in the late fifties in the USA.

- Who knows about contra bas clarinet mouthpieces. I play on a Selmer BB
clarinet with an LeBlanc mouthpiece. I really need other mouthpieces, the
Selmer is not oke for me neighter the LeBlanc mouthpiece, are there
alternatives?

PS I'm conductor of the Netherlands Clarinet Choir an ensemble with
proffessional clarinet players from the Dutch orchestras. Can anyone give
me more info about other professional Clarinet Choirs?
