Hi,

I am another one who cannot make a living out of music (I am an
engineer), but I never thought this as something that prevents having
fun with music. There are always opportunities to play in
non-professional bands or ensembles at any level. The trouble is to
find them. When one found a band that is 'right', your own level is
not the most important thing, but the will to make music together that
other people are willing to hear and always the want to get better.

Only playing, practising without ever showing the work to the public
(even if this is only your family) will take the fun out of music.

Greetings,
Christian
