I am age 50 and started serious playing again 3 years ago.

I play in the community college band (almost all community, very little
college). I also have a clarinet quartet (the other members are pros, not
something I planned but that is how things worked out).

I have also played a couple of paying outdoor concert band gigs on holidays
which were a lot of fun (although we froze in December).
