Roger Garrett advised:

<<<If you are looking for exercises, you might consider those in the
published Stubbins book called The Essentials of Technical Dexterity for the
Clarinet, published by Piasano Press (I think that is the correct
spelling....I am working from memory here). Specifically, the Flexibility
and Embouchure Development patterns - practiced the different ways Stubbins
suggests in his forward - are very helpful.>>>

I have the misfortune of hanging around with trumpet players. While they
tend to drink better beer, a lot of them deserve the moniker "brass holes."

Anyway, one of my brass-playing friends lent me a book on breathing by
Arnold Jacobs--he's the very tall man who played tuba in the Chicago
Symphony for about a zillion years. Played like a god. With one lung.
Anyway, he developed an entire religion over proper breathing. In addition
to the Stubbins stuff that Roger mentioned, I recommend Jacobs' book(s),
which should still be available through "Song and Wind" or something like
that.
