re the cause of the resistance in the Selmer Signature:

I agree that this is not the forum for publishing Selmer's trade
secrets--but anyone with a micrometer could measure the thing. My pea brain
would not understand the results, however--I was looking for something more
general, like if it has a polycylindrical bore, or is smaller like a German
horn, or whatever. Also, and on a general note ('cuz Buffet's Elite and Mr.
Rossi's horns have them, too), what do "chimneys" do?

Another question here (for me at least)--and what I was getting at--is if we
are supposed to use the standard mouthpieces in our cases, or if the bore is
different enough that we have to mess with aftermarket barrels etc.

Again, this is just for general knowledge for the non-technically minded.
(If you gave me the secret stuff, I wouldn't understand it.)
