Well, regardless of what others say, I really meant single tongue!! At
least, I usually think I know what I mean......I think.
My understanding is that someone posted (Can't remember now) that they
could side-to-side tongue 16ths at quarter @-----.that's what I am
jealous of. I don't believe it is possible to double or single tonue
16ths at quarter @-----.hope I spelled that
correctly.

I just got out my clarinet, set the metronome at 285, it was a blur. Slowed
it down to 220, and very distinctly could play 16th notes at 220 with a
breath accent on each beat to hear 4 tongued notes at 220 beating (4
tongues per beat). I did it for about 5 minutes, cut my tongue, washed the
reed off, and put it down. No big deal.
