Make that "model" number not "modem" number.

1193-2 confusion.<

I had a similar experience when buying my Buffet alto clarinet. After
ordering it and waiting months for it to arrive, I received the previous
model which was marked 1503-2 (1503 is the new [old?] alto clarinet model
number).

I was able to get the correct instrument eventually (this was about a year
ago), but it was a major inconvenience. Even if it was an innocent
mistake, it is no wonder they get confused if they don't change the modem
number when they introduce a completely redesigned instrument. The cases
are completely different.
