I'm sorry. I'm getting in on the middle of this. But has anyone ever
taught from the James Collis series?
I did years ago and it was terrific!
comments anyone?

I use it along with the Galper books. I taught the Hegvik's daughter Dania
(on the back cover of the Collis books), and use their books for Sax. The
Hegviks made a books series that is the Sax, and Flute version of the
Collis Clarinet books (just about note for note). Jimmy gets a cut. I do
prefer the Galper 1, and 2 better, and then the Hite Melodious and
Progressive Studies. Abe is coming out with a new book Tone Technique, and
Stacatto. It is very, very good - I am using pre-release copies currently
with several students.
