I note that the Buffet site does not mention an 1193-2 (none of the other
vendors or catalogs I've looked at do either.) The store basically said
that Buffet uses -2 to mean silver, so that an R-13 is an 1131 and an R-13
with silver plated keys is an 1131-2. According to them, that is the
convention so that the Bass would be an 1193-2 even if there wasn't a
version without silver plated keys.

I'm just trying to confirm this (or not) from someone who has access to
something like a Buffet price list that would show this kind of thing.

According to the Buffet web site, the 1193 series has silver plated keys as
standard.
