The "Jitterbug" scene that was released on the 50th anniversary edition
was not a "final, professionally" filmed sequence: it was "home movie"
footage shot during a rehearsal, and synchronized as well as possible to
a recording of the song that the studio had recorded with the actors. I
doubt this sequence would have been inserted in the "restored" theatre
version (I haven't seen it) because a) it is in black&white and b) it
was filmed from "backstage", revealing crew members working trees, etc.!

The part that was actually filmed for the movie, then cut, was a longer
dance sequence for the scarecrow ("If I Only Had A Brain" - my theme
song!). This is also included on the 50th aniversary videotape release.
