Rossini's Cenerentola at the Met

A little while ago this opera was performed. It was a great
performance. The clarinet solos were excellent.

The thing that struck me most, was the singing of Cecilia Bertoli.
The technique and the clarity of the singing were simply amazing.
Her voice has an incisive, metallic timbre, great power, and incredible
agility, lending itself equally to softer shades, impassioned expression
and to the most delicate ornamentation.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Cecilia Bertoli were to come out one day,
with a clarinet in her hand and play the Rossini Introduction, Theme and
Variations.
That would be exciting to hear.
