Also, the following list of sites have a variety of used clarinets for
sale, some come with 12 month warranties and some are fully recodition.
My assumption (maybe a dangerous thing) is that used horns from dealors
are probably not in any worse shape than much of what appears on ebay's
auction site.

The only site I can speak of with experience is Play It Again, Bob!
where I purchased a reconditioned Selmer Series 9 at an excellent price
and with tremendous service from Bob Snyder who is a delight to work
with. And, I'm planning on buying another clarinet from Bob, once I can
lay hands on my federal tax return.

Please note that not all of these sites update their used
instrument lists monthly but the dealors may have some excellent horns
available, that are not listed, at probably no more risk than buying one
off of ebay.
