Does anybody know where to find a Springer barrel? I have yet to see one
advertised in catalogs, and was curious about their sound. Since I'm on the
topic of barrels, I have another question. I recently bought a Moennig 66mm
barrel for Bb clarinet and experience strange tuning problems. The long B and
C and low C to E are always flat. The stock 66mm Buffet barrel seems to play
in tune, but I am unsatisfied with the sound (too open and crass). Has anyone
had any experience with Moennig barrels and experienced these problems?
