I too have had M.E C.F.I.D.S symptoms for a number of years (10) and my
illness started after a severe bout of Mono nucleosis caught during a
touring schools orchestra. I am in no way blaming the organisers of the
tour and still consider it a wonderful opportunity that I was given to
experiance proffesional playing at a young age (16) but I have been
disabled ever since.
I think that it was a combination of litle sleep, two months of touring
, 3 concerts a day and huge travelling in between,
living/playing/sleeping together and of course the swapping of shared
Bass clarinet, clarinet , Sax and flute in the Jazz band we put together
to "blow off steam" during the tour.
All of us kids got sick. Some still are.
No one had any idea that sharing instruments could be such a pain.
