Sorry to sound pompous, but our band director has a saying: "You never
know who's listening". At the very least the conductor will be. (Now,
I've a feeling that might start an interesting thread :-) )

But don't get paranoid about it. I've done a little bit of pit work and
it is fun, as long as you keep your wits about you.
