I suppose it would surprise you, then, to know that the keywork on the
CL300 is IDENTICAL to that on the Bundy! Your response problems definitely
sound like the instrument needs adjustment and/or some new pads. Just like
you don't get rid of a car because it needs new tires or a tune-up, you
don't need to replace an instrument when it just needs a little work. If
you are bending keys regularly, you probably need to use some cork grease
to ease assembly.

And one could just as easily say that they must buy a Selmer Signature
because Tom Ridenour likes it. This is not to say that the R-13 is not a
fine instrument. It most certainly is. But so are several others. Rather
than jumping in blind and grabbing the first familiar name, try some
yourself and see what works best FOR YOU. David Pino won't get a cut even
if you DO buy the R-13. (Sounds like a good book, though!)

P.S.: Superfluous means excessive or unnecessary.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
