Dorothy, I agree with Scott. I literally did not touch my clarinet for
20 years. I read an article in the local paper about the community
band, I called, and I was there 4 days later. Honestly I was scared to
death and felt very inadequate for quite awhile, but it was experience
and I did enjoy it very much. After four years of practice and private
lessons, my confidence and chair placement has improved. You can do it,
so go for it now! My only regret is I didn't do it sooner. Don't wait
until you THINK you are good enough. You already are.
