This reminds me of the "Conservation of the R" rule that applies in Boston.
As we all know from the days of the Kennedy administration, Bostonians drop
the R frequently. For example, it's "cah", not "car", and "Hahvahd" not
"Harvard".
But the "Conservation of the R" rule applies. You must then add the letter R
to other words so that we do not have a surplus lying around. This leads to
such pronunciations as "Ameriker" not "America".

OK, Mark, you caught me. The truth is there is a shortage of allowed uses
of the letter "T" in this area. Probably because of the weather. They are
being rationed carefully. I had overused my allotment for that day and had
to omit one somewhere in my message. I suppose you would have preferred
that I had written:
"It sounds like a very sweet, very sof recorder."
I'll be more careful in the future. :)
BTW, I have also played that now-famous kazoo part, but I usually don't
talk about it.
