If you could convince everybody that it's religious in some way,
I'd do Strauss' Duet Concertino for Clarinet & Bassoon, using piano
reduction for the orchestra. Beautiful piece, technically challenging
(will keep your bassoonist on his/her toes).

Well, once while flipping the channels on a Sunday morning, I came across a
Violinist performing the Sarasate - Zigeunerwiesen (Gypsy Airs) . I watched
it to it's conclusion. It happened to be on one of those large scale Sunday
AM Tele-vangelist shows. The title given was Zigeunerwiesen, so I guess
that they didn't know what they were listening to ;) Boy, bet someone
would be pretty hot under the "collar" if he found that out.
