underneath one of the keys that would otherwise hit wood or metal. In an
emergency hot glue would do for a cork, although contact cement might be
just as easy and hold better. If it's actually a pad that fell out, the
easiest first aid is to put it back in the pad cup (if you can tell, try to
get the same orientation it originally had so the imression will line up
with the tone hole) and heat it carefully (with a match or a lighter). The
cement that's still in the cup should melt and when it cools (a few seconds
after you take the flame away) the pad should be re-stuck.

It still might not be correctly seated on the tone hole, so a trip to a
repair guy might still be in order if you count on the instrument's being in
it's best condition.
