For finding itty bitty parts on the floor a good, strong flashlight is a
big help. It makes little stuff shine just enough to spot. It's beam also
disciplines your eyes in their seach.

Years ago I lost a G#-D# key while doing a routine repadding. I never
found it... Bad day. Years later I told an old repairman about loosing
a key. He laughed and said that was nothing. He once lost all the slides
from a customer's double french horn!
