Performance nerves? This one hits home!!!!

I feel as if I am standing alone on a stage.
All around me is completely dark,
But I stand in a spotlight.
There is an audience, but I can see no faces.
Everyone watches from the darkness, but I have
No lines to speak.
This stage has no boundaries, no entrance or exits.
No time or dimension.
There is only me without an idea of what
I am supposed to do, and the anxious awareness
That I must perform.
