Hey Joe,

Glad to have you on board. I'm a clarinetist who's nuts about the bassoon.

I'm late reading my mail today. Otherwise, I would have taken a stab at
your question. Frankly, everybody else, has really done a terrific job.
I'm glad I kept my mouth shut. You'd be surprised how many other
musicicians have asked me and every other clarinetist the same question.
That word "Basset" really gets them... alot like "Sackbut" and Krummhorn."
