You are correct. The problem arose after someone, I believe it was Donna,
wrongly attributed your words to Scott. No where did Lelia insinuate or
state anything to the contrary.

I think Lelia's point is that while Donna was quoting your words, for
someone looking at ONLY that message, in the archives or during the actual
conversation, the words would be attributed to Scott since his name appeared
on the message and yours didn't. I noticed that mistake when it happened,
but I didn't say anything. However, I am glad Lelia has brought it up
because members should be careful when they are quoting to avoid such
confusion. Also, I notice that some do not sign their messages after they
are done typing. This causes more problems as when people quote them the
only thing to tell who wrote them is the mail header that comes up when you
hit the reply button. Once that is gone, no one knows whose words they are.

Yes, I agree. However, it is important to realize that this little sidebar,
at least from my end of things, is not intended to berate her, but
illustrate how a simple mistake like that can lead to a firestorm and try to
improve things for the future. I don't think we will have to worry about
Donna making this mistake again, and there really is no point in criticzing
her anymore. I just wanted to clarify a few things Lelia had mentioned.
