Dear Jack:

The intonation problems you mentioned with the eefer occured in every
different horn I've ever tried--Selmer, Buffet, Leblanc LL, and both Vito and
Bundy plastic horns. I think it really must be the 'nature of the beast'! <g>
However, I will be getting a Leblanc Concerto eefer next month, and am hoping
some of those problems will be minimized.

For eefer, I really recommend you go ahead and get a pro mpc--it makes a huge
difference on this instrument. I personally am waiting for my new model
Ridenour eefer mpc to arrive from Texas. I've played on Tom's older model
since 1987, and it has been great--it's the only thing that makes playing a
plastic horn bearable. You can always use it on any horn you happen to play
on--one of my hs students who plays eefer uses one, even though she doesn't
own a horn yet.

Hope this helps. Eefers unite! Elise C.
