Subj: [kl] Tips for clarinetist picking up bagpipes
Date: Sat, 26 Dec 1998 01:09:35 -0500

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever attempted the
bagpipes (more specifically, the practice chanter for
highland Scottish pipes). I'm a 10-year clarinetist and a
college student who has decided to try and figure out the
bagpipes. I just obtained a practice chanter and would
appreciate tips from anyone who has traveled this path
before.
Thank you and Merry Christmas -
Noah Smith
